It all started where all true romance starts - in front of a King Taco in Pasadena, CA. Winston was on his way to pick up food in between his California Bar Exam studying when he bumped into his friend’s girlfriend. That same person was Kristen’s co-worker, and as fate would have it, was accompanied by Kristen on that very day for their lunch break. Even though the interaction was brief, Winston did notice Kristen, and shortly thereafter - with great tenacity - reached out to their mutual friend to remark that “she was solid” (which every bro who lived in 2014 understands that to be “she is very cute”). However, it wasn't until months later that Kristen agreed to go on a double date with Winston and their mutual friends, and the rest is history!

It all started, like all great proposal stories, with a little suspense. Unbeknownst to Winston, Kristen had taken a couple of bites from the chicken that he had left out overnight (in Kristen's defense, the food appeared fresh and should've been thrown away if it was old!). Fortunately, food poisoning was avoided, allowing Winston to proceed with the surprise proposal events he had planned! With the help of Kristen's sister and a photographer to capture the timeless moment, Winston popped the question to Kristen at Arlington Garden in Pasadena - and of course, Kristen said YES! Yet, Winston's surprises for the day were far from over. He surprised Kristen with a dinner with both their parents, and, afterwards, a final celebration at Wild Parrot Brewing Company with all of their friends. We can't wait to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you!
