Let's try this again...

Two friends introduced us at a party, Kristen and Westin are not party animals, but by some random chance they both ended up at the same party one night in June of 2015. After moments of laying eyes on each other and talking, they were both clearly into each other and glued together for the rest of the night. He wouldn't let her escape without getting her number. After a month of conflicting schedules, Westin finally snagged a place on her busy calendar. On their date, Westin was so nervous that he did not eat a bite, and Kristen was so excited she ate her entire meal at double speed. Just like the kids they were, they went to a trampoline park and battled it out Ninja Warrior-style into a pit of foam. A few weeks later, Kristen convinced her Gammy to let Westin come with them and her little cousin to Dollywood. After this day, Gammy said he was one of the kindest souls she had ever met and to hold onto him. He had soon stolen her entire family's heart! By January of 2016, the couple was undeniably and totally in love. They grew up together during college and are now ready to begin the rest of their lives together.

After months of getting to know each other, the two were confident they would get married someday. They wanted to wait till after graduating college. When Westin graduated in December of 2018, not-so-subtle hints started to escalate. Westin invited her on a date to The Tavern after work on July 5th. After an unusually quiet ride to Abingdon, Westin was insistent that Kristen park the car at the Martha Washington Inn. She resisted and wanted to park closer to the restaurant, but decided to go with it since he had never been to the Inn. Still being quiet, he reached for her hand and quickly walked her to the fountain surrounded by flowers out in the front lawn. He said that since they always forget to take pictures on dates that they needed to tonight. He set up the phone against her purse on the ground to capture the moment. He came over and kissed her, and kept kissing her! She asked if they were done with the picture yet right as Westin got down on one knee and asked Kristen to marry him! While saying yes, she jumped into the air and squealed. She kept saying thank you, thank you, thank you! Following the proposal, the two ate at Kristen's favorite (very expensive) restaurant, The Tavern. The restaurant celebrated with us - so much so that complete strangers paid for their drinks and dinner! The celebration continued at The Bristol Hotel with a couple of friends on the rooftop bar. Within hours, Kristen was already bouncing around wedding ideas. They are excited to celebrate their love with their friends and family!
