Getting to the island

Islesboro is accessible by ferry departing from Lincolnville Beach. Ferry schedule: https://www.maine.gov/dot/programs-services/ferry/islesboro-ferry/schedule Ferry tickets: https://www.maine.gov/dot/programs-services/ferry/ferry-ticket-purchase Plan to take the 3:00 p.m. ferry, or an earlier boat if you'd like to explore the island. Summer ferry lines can be long, so if you're driving on, it's best to arrive an hour early. If you are returning to the mainland the same night, park in the lot and walk onto the ferry. We will provide transportation to the wedding and back for folks walking on. There will be a passenger water taxi for people returning to the mainland at 10:00 on Saturday night. Please note: the last ferry leaves Islesboro at 4:30 p.m., so if you drive onto the ferry, you won't be able to get your car off again until the next day (we don't want anyone to get stuck!).
