Torrey Pines Nature Reserve
Take a scenic hike through Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve to see stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and our unique sandstone cliffs. Follow the Beach Trail down to the tide pools and finish your hike right on the sand. ~3mi hike, with the option to drive to the top for those with limited mobility. From Hotel Indigo: 5min drive or extend your hike with a 1.5mi walk
Powerhouse Park & Del Mar Beach
Perfect for a beach day, picnic, or casual stroll, this scenic park offers ocean views, a playground, and easy beach access. Grab a sandwich at Board & Brew on your way. You can walk all the way here on the Sea Cliff Coastal Bluff Trail located behind Hotel Indigo for a scenic route. 15-20min walk from Hotel Indigo

Catch some waves with Del Mar Surf School. They'll provide everything you need, including surfboards and wetsuits (yes, the water is cold). Private and group lessons available.
Poseidon Restaurant

La Jolla
Just a few miles down the coast from Del Mar. Start your day with a rooftop brunch at George’s at the Cove or Duke's, then stroll down to La Jolla Cove to watch seals and sea lions lounging on the rocks. For a bit more adventure, book a La Jolla Kayak Cave Tour (linked) to explore sea caves, spot marine life, and take in the stunning California coastline from the water.
