A message from the couple

Hi friends and family, Thanks for visiting our wedding website! We are so blessed and excited to celebrate this special season with you. We wanted to share a little background about us and a message from our hearts. Our first date was at a Waffle House in late April 2017, so we chose May 1 as our anniversary to keep things simple and easy to remember! Since then, we’ve shared nine years together, from our college days at UTC (Go Mocs!) to family vacations and everything in between. We are so thankful to the Lord for His faithfulness and grace in our lives. He has guided our steps, brought us together, and sustained our relationship through every season. We ask for continued prayers that our union and married years ahead grow us in the best imaginable ways. As we look ahead to marriage, we are aware that without the sacrifice of Jesus, none of this would be possible or hold any lasting meaning. His love is the foundation of our hope, our joy, and our future. “How would you ever learn unconditional love if you were married to someone who met all the conditions? How would you ever learn mercy, patience, long-suffering, heartfelt compassion if you were married to someone who never failed you, who was never difficult with you, who never sinned against you, who was never slow to acknowledge their sin or ask for forgiveness? How would you ever learn grace to pour out your favor on someone who did not deserve it if you were married to someone who was always deserving of all good things? The main purpose of marriage is that, through your marriage, you become conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. Marriage, I believe, is the greatest instrument of sanctification.” - Paul Washer With love and gratitude, Kristen & Richard
