I guess you can say I'm his "Tinderella" & I am damn proud of that! I can't imagine where our lives would be if it wasn't for meeting each other on Tinder! We were absolutely made for each other. We met on a Tuesday at Bar Taco in Port Chester, NY which was close to where I was working at the time. A good start, since he came to me ;) Of course I wouldn't eat because I was too shy and nervous, but we had a few drinks & could have stayed forever. There was never a quiet moment & we stayed until about midnight. But of course, if any one knows me....when I want something...I have to have it...and luckily same goes for Pat & we met up a day later at Barcelona in Greenwich, CT. I thought I was going to be late but somehow Pat got lost (which is funny because I am the one with no sense of direction)....which is funny to think back on! Poor guy soon came out to find out that I am a savage and will eat more than him at times...I am terrible with directions and really a lot of simple things, but truth is, we balance each other out in every aspect of life. From day one, we couldn't stay apart which is what led to me moving in only 3 months into dating, and it was by far the easiest decision I've ever made besides saying YES to marry him of course! Pat is one of the most genuine, caring, kind, loving, funny and trusting humans & he continues to make every day of my life better than I ever thought imaginable.
By far the BEST day yet! Even though the surprise was busted by the pizza truck company that was catering the engagement party. I did not see the early morning proposal coming. We planned to go golfing early in the morning which was nothing out of the ordinary, but of course I was stressing because it was rainy and my hair was frizzy and all that fun stuff. He asked me to go with him to take Shea for a walk but like always I was rushing and taking too long, I tried to get him to walk her alone but he wouldn't stand for it. I had no idea that when we got down by the pond he'd be doing it already. I was expecting the proposal later in the day before the party and praying he wouldn't do it on the golf course. When I saw someone snapping photos of the pond, it suddenly clicked that this is it! I started shaking and between Shea pulling us to the water and Pat getting down on one knee, I think we both blacked out & can barely remember the details! It was just too exciting and overwhelming! BEST day yet <3 For a whole month, I secretly knew about the party and tried everything I could do to help & make it smooth without letting him know I knew, which was sooooooo difficult! I can't even imagine how hard it was for him! Every single detail was perfect. And thank you all for making that the most amazing day. We are so lucky to have such loving friends and family. What started out as a very chill afternoon celebrating & catching up with old friends turned into what felt like a college party full of keg stands, beer pong, flip cup & all night dance party that I cannot put into words how fun it was! We are two very lucky people to be blessed with all of you! *Photographs by Nicole Pliego
