Our first date was on September 19th, 2021. We walked around downtown Northville, Michigan, and had brunch at a little café called Rebecca's. We were both drawn to each other's smiles, and thoughtfulness. Some of our early dates included going to the Detroit Zoo, Parmenter's Cider Mill, and having a Pokémon movie marathon. Over the past few years together we have travelled to 10 states, visited India, attended 7 weddings, had a surprise cat adoption, and moved from Metro Detroit to Louisville, Kentucky. On July 4th, 2024, we got engaged. We feel so lucky to have met each other, and to share this journey of life together. We cannot wait to celebrate our wedding on August 31st, 2025 with our incredible family, friends, and loved ones!

At the end of June 2024, Kristen flew home to Michigan to attend a family birthday party. Navnoor stayed in Louisville due to work, but decided to drive up and meet her on July 4th to visit home and drive back to Kentucky together. On July 4th, Navnoor drove from Louisville to Novi with their cat, Livi, (and secretly a ring) in tow. Navnoor picked Kristen up at her parents' house, and they drove to downtown Rochester to meet up with some friends for dinner. He was planning on proposing later that weekend, but just couldn't wait. After dinner, Navnoor, Kristen, and their friends them took a walk around a nearby park. They approached a gazebo that was decorated with a big, light up "marry me", sign, candles, and rose petals. Kristen saw it and said "look someone got engaged today!" As they walked towards the scene, it began to click. Navnoor got down on one knee and proposed to Kristen. They spent the night and whole weekend surrounded by love, celebrating with family and friends.
