Woodstock Vermont
Woodstock is a beautiful historic town with cute shops, delicious cafes and restaurants, and classic Vermont covered bridges. If you're feeling ambitious you can hike up Mount Tom (about 4 miles round trip) and get beautiful views of the town below.
Apple picking at Wellwood Orchards
Have a true New England experience and go apple picking at Wellwood Orchards. They also have a petting zoo and delicious homemade apple cider donuts.
Go for a hike
There are so many wonderful hiking options around Ludlow! -One great hike is Okemo Mountain via the Healdville Trail. There's a large firetower on top of the mountain and beautiful views of Ludlow and beyond. It's about 6 miles round trip. -Another option is Ascutney Mountain, which is about 5 miles round trip and has waterfalls and beautiful views from the top. -For those looking for a more gentle hike, you can check out Buttermilk Falls. It's about a 12 minute/0.5 mile walk there and back and brings you to a beautiful waterfall. You can go for a swim if you're feeling brave!
