Kristen And Kelsey have known of each other since high school. When Kelsey started considering going to WMU, she reached out to Kristen via Blackberry Messenger, which was their first semi-formal conversation. Kelsey ended up at WMU and in the near future, she and Kristen became roommates, bonded immediately, and later on became best friends. It was like they had been friends all of their lives. Kelsey has watched Kristen grow and transition through so many phases of her life. From college, to pledging Alpha Kappa Alpha, to transitioning into corporate life, to motherhood, and now to marriage! I am so honered to be apart of Kristen and Milan’s special day and will continue to be there for them through this lifelong journey.

Groomsman
Hamani and Milan met during “Summer Bridge” at Hampton University, a program designed to help potential students transition into college after facing adversity during their high school years. Acceptance into Hampton was contingent upon having success in the “Summer Bridge” program. Having faced similar experiences with adversity during their formative years, Hamani and Milan made a creed among themselves that returning home to their respective hometowns of Washington, DC and Detroit, MI without full acceptance into Hampton was not an option. That was the beginning of a brotherhood that persists to this day. Hamani is grateful to support Milan as he enters this new chapter of his life with Kristen and their two beautiful little girls.
Groomsman
Milan and Ricardo met the summer of 2006 in pre-college at Hampton University. While partying and hanging out were things that helped them create a brotherhood. The one thing they took serious, was school. They made a pact to each other that they would graduate on time. They pushed and held each other accountable by routinely meeting at the library to study or complete homework. When the time came to graduate, it was the most exciting time for them. So much so, Milan cried with joy pretty much all day and had to be dehydrated from it the next day. Best wishes to Milan and Kristen with their next phase in life.
Groomsman
Adrian and Milan met at the age of 8 in Milan’s backyard while playing basketball. Adrian didn’t know at the time, but that basketball game would spark a lifelong bond. They have been coworkers, roommates, and pie eating competitors at the state fair. Adrian has never called Milan a friend, he calls him his blood brother. Milan has always been Adrian’s right hand throughout the biggest moments of his life and Adrian can’t wait to watch everything beautiful unfold for Milan and Kristen.
