We have to admit, it all started on Facebook. Our mutual friend (Hi Hillary Keller!) posted a photo with Kristen shortly after they began their freshman year together at Xavier University. Max saw the photo and texted Hillary something along the lines of “I’m going to marry your blonde friend.” We officially met a few weeks later when Max came to XU to visit some friends but we didn’t talk much. We did manage to become friends on Facebook -- the jury is still out on who requested who. We each continued our own ways throughout college, still seeing the occasional post or tag from each other, until we met back up almost 5 years later at another mutual friend's (Hi Andrea Roebker & family!) lake house in the summer of 2015. Max and Kristen were the last two by the fire when Max asked Kristen to out to dinner. Ten days later we went on our first date and two months later, Kristen asked Max to be her boyfriend. Luckily, he said yes!
