May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

No, please leave ALL decor, including flowers, for the venue owners and bride and groom. All decor at the wedding either belongs to the venue or are rentals that need to be returned. If you take any decor, please be aware that you will be asked to pay for it.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

You can follow directions through GPS to The Pond at Laurel Cove at 1718 Bat Cave Rd, Old Fort, NC 28762. If you do not have GPS directions, you can, in general, follow I-40 from Asheville and take exit 73. Continue straight on Catawba River Road until you reach Bat Cave Road, where you will take a right. Continue straight on Bat Cave Road. There will be a sign for The Pond at Laurel Cove at the entrance to the parking lot on the right, designated for guests to park for free.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, the venue has free parking on site for all guests.

Where will the reception be held?

Answer

Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be held at The Pond at Laurel Cove. No worries about driving to a separate venue!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code is dress casual or garden attire. We will be outdoors, where lots of grass and gravel will be walked on, so flat, comfortable shoes are highly recommended!

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Please be sure to RSVP through our website by August 27, 2022 so that we can have a final headcount.

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible.

Can I bring a date?

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes, our caterer can accommodate dietary restrictions. Please let us know by August 27, 2022 if you have any specific dietary concerns so our caterer can plan accordingly.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered with Zola, Target, Pottery Barn, and Amazon. The registry is located on our website, with all four registries incorporated for ease of access. We would love any contributions to our first home fund, but if you would prefer to give physical gifts, we have included plenty of options.

Do you have any hotel blocks?

Answer

While we tried to secure hotel block, because of Asheville's popularity, especially during peak wedding season, most hotels will not offer block reservations. Please keep this in mind and book your rooms or Airbnb's as soon as possible. If you have difficulty finding accommodations, please email Marco at mdvalera89@gmail.com.
