We met in October 2016 at a concert. We were both enjoying life, outside meeting new people and talking, per usual. There was instant chemistry. We exchanged numbers and split ways, both of us separately going back inside to dance and party. Later on we found each other, danced all night and the rest is history! We are a true "love at first sight" love story.
Mackenzie proposed at our favorite date night spot ,Ocean Prime. At the time I was about 5 month pregnant, so before heading out to dinner he made sure I felt beautiful, I was comfortable, and most importantly that I had a warm coat on. We can never leave without sharing our favorite dessert, so we ordered the Crème brûlée. When the server brought it out and placed it in front of me, I did a double take. There were roses and the dessert was displayed on a beautifully decorated plate with the words "Will you marry me" written in chocolate. Mackenzie got down on one knee and popped the question and I have never been more sure of an answer in my life. In true Mackenzie & Kristen fashion, right after dinner we drove to Red Rocks and went to see Rezz. It was freezing cold, lightly snowing, and we were both underdressed, but both of us have never been happier.
The decision to have this wedding in Mexico was made quickly, but with the fullest hearts and with so much excitement. Everything just feels right and we know it will be a magical day filled with love. This will be a small wedding with immediate family and our closest friends. We appreciate everyone's understanding and support. The rules are, no stressing, no arguing, no worrying and smiles only. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
