Beautiful state park. Lots of depression era buildings. Trout hatchery. Good for a light hike, tent and rv camping, fishing, or an afternoon outdoors.
Old order mennonite community. Great general store/restaurant (open for lunch, everything homemade), bakery, fruit stands, handmade furniture, rugs, etc. Wonderful relaxing time poking around the Ozarks.
This is a museum/aquarium right next to Bass Pro. We haven't been there yet, but everyone who goes says it's well worth the money!
Springfield has a growing downtown blossoming with great dining, art gallerys, music and more!
This is the largest Bass Pro Shop in the chain. It also houses the NRA's National Gun and Rifle Museum (Kristen has been here many times with her Dad). It's FREE!
Lake of the Ozarks, Truman Lake, Pomme de Terre. All just a quick 40 minute or so drive north of Buffalo
