Bride
Kristen was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She graduated from Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia and Kennesaw State University. She earned her master's in Accomplished Teaching from Valdosta State University and her Specialist in Instructional Technology from the University of West Georgia. She currently teaches 8th grade science at Dickerson Middle School in Cobb County. Kristen enjoys reading, traveling, attending Braves games, and spending time with friends and family.
Groom
Lee has been a lifelong resident of Cobb County, Georgia. He graduated from Harrison High School and Kennesaw State University. He is the founding member of the punk band, Treephort and owned Swayze's Venue for 16 years. He enjoys playing trivia, traveling, attending Braves games, Carolina Hurricanes hockey, WWE, and NASCAR. You can often find him selling vintage toys and collectibles on the weekend.
Matron of Honor
Kristen met Julie while they were both attending Kennesaw State University and working at the CAPS Center. There was an instant connection and they have been best friends ever since. Julie lives with her husband Chris, and children Rachel, Brooke, Claire, and William in Roswell, Georgia. Kristen is excited for Julie to share in this day with her and Lee.
Matron of Honor
Kristen and Theresa have been friends for a number of years, they met playing trivia and have grown closer as the years have gone by. Theresa lives in Dallas, Georgia with her husband Clay and her two cats Pepper and Prince. Kristen is excited for Theresa to be a part of this special day.
Best Man
Lee met Sonny through playing music together at the now defunct 513 Club in Atlanta in the late 1990s. Eventually Sonny came on as the full time drummer of Treephort for many years and played on six different albums. They have been close friends ever since. Sonny is an English teacher and yearbook advisor at Marietta High School. Sonny plays recreational hockey, plays drums for the 1990s TV theme song cover band The Superstation as well as the Home Alone movie themed band The Home Alones. Sonny can often be found reading, playing trivia, or over at the Satterfields pool.
Groomsman
Lee met Will at Harrison High School and they have been friends ever since. He was actually an original member in Treephort. Will, a former officer in the Marine Corps, now resides in Chattanooga, TN, and is currently a pilot with Delta Air Lines. Will enjoys action movies of the 80s and 90s, Family Guy, and South Park, and is an avid foodie, often trying new restaurants wherever he may be flying into. But don’t think he’s too bougie, his favorite comfort foods are Krystal and Long John Silvers.
Groomsman
Dan and Lee met through their bands playing and going to see punk shows together within the Atlanta music scene. Dan’s still playing in a few bands — Craigzlist Punks, Slime Rat, and Troll Punx. Dan enjoys motorcycle riding, skateboarding, professional wrestling, collecting vintage toys from the 80s and 90s, and taking his dog Maggie on weekly hikes, usually to Red Top Mountain.
Flower Guy
Kristen and Lee met Jay when he served as their usher starting in 2021 at Truist Park during the Braves World Series season. They became fast friends and see each other often at Braves games as well as at professional wrestling events. They are excited for Jay to be a part of their special day.
Usher
Grady is Kristen's oldest nephew. He is currently in 7th grade at Buford City Schools. An amazing athlete with a passion for football and basketball, when Grady isn't on the court or field, he enjoys playing video games and going out on his family's boat.
Sign Carrier
Elijah is Kristen's youngest nephew. He is currently in 3rd grade at Buford City Schools. He loves playing basketball and football, spending time with his dog River, and playing video games with family and friends.
Ring Bearer
Wesley Earl is Lee's oldest nephew. He is in 2nd Grade at Ford Elementary in Cobb County. He loves swimming, building Legos, playing with superheroes (and villains), and cosplay. He recently became an older brother to baby Wyatt.
Officiant
Dr. Rick Kaht has worked with Kristen at Dickerson Middle School for many years. He has gotten to know Lee over the last few years and spends just as much time with him outside of school and he does with Kristen inside of school. Rick enjoys hosting tiki parties, dressing up in elaborate costumes at DragonCon, and micro wrestling.
Mother of the Bride
Nancy, was born into a military family in Anniston, Alabama. The oldest daughter and the third in line of eight siblings, she was born into a leadership role early on. She graduated from Winthrop University and earned her master's degree from the Citadel and spent her career as a school counselor in a variety of grade levels, primarily Middle and High School. Nancy is fiercely loyal and protective of her family and friends and is always willing to offer help and support to those around her. In her retirement she enjoys going to the movies weekly, reading daily, playing Bunko with neighborhood friends, and spending time with her husband Paul, and their two dogs Lucky and Brodie. Having said all that, her most absolute favorite past time is spending time with her two grandchildren, Grady and Eli.
Father of the Bride
Paul was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. He is the youngest son and the third of his four siblings. Paul graduated from North Charleston High School and worked for over 40 years for the federal government starting out as a pipefitting apprentice, working as a safety specialist for the Navy, and then working with various contractors to ensure they are meeting federal regulations. Paul is an avid sports fan and he can usually be found watching his Clemson Tigers, Dallas Cowboys, and Atlanta Braves.
Father of the Groom
David, a life-long resident of Cobb County and graduate of Pebblebrook High School, ran a very successful small business for over 40 years, where he earned an honorary PhD in the science garbalogy. Never one to just sit around, David is now a bus driver for Cobb County Schools. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, especially with his grandson, Wesley Earl. An avid NASCAR and Braves fan, he also enjoys watching Jeopardy! and the History Channel on TV, well, when he’s not feeding and watching the various wildlife on his property.
Mother of the Groom
Janice, a resident of Cobb County since the 1960s, graduated from Wills High School. Now a bus driver for Cobb County Schools, she helped David run a very successful small business for over 40 years. A loving and supportive mother and grandmother, she’s always put family first and in front of herself. Janice spent many years volunteering in PTA, even serving at the state level after her children graduated. Her claims to fame are meeting Col. Harland Sanders while working at KFC as a teenager and seeing Hank Aaron break the all time home run record at Fulton County Stadium. In her spare time she enjoys floating in the pool and playing Mexican train game with family and friends. When not cheering the Braves on from her living room TV, you’ll find Janice cheering from Truist Park, usually with David, Kristen, or Lee.
