Kevin and Kristen met at the Tarleton State Wesley Foundation. Kristen became friends with one of Kevin's friends and coworker and after about a year of friendship, Kevin took the risk to ask Kristen on an ice cream date to Braum's. Since that date in 2017, they have been inseparable while moving five times through two graduations and the beginning of their careers.
