We are constantly making updates to this website and will be using the website as our main form of communication leading up to and during the wedding. Kristen and/or Justin are not likely to be super responsive to texts or calls starting Thursday 5/19 so if you have any questions, please check the website first.
We can't stress this enough! In Justin's Words: SoCal traffic is notoriously horrible. In Kristen's Words: It's a bitch. Either way, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep in mind travel times set by Google maps or any other map/direction app you choose to utilize are merely "suggestions." Don't trust it. It's recommended to give yourself at least a 30 minute cushion when going anywhere. SoCal Rush Hour is generally 7-10am in the morning and 4-7pm at night (If you are in Orange County, plan for an additional +/- 30-45 min or in LA County, plan for an additional +/- 60-90 min on either side.
It's a wedding, so dress to impress! Be dressy but comfortable. Formal but sensible. Let your style come out and show off your personality a bit. If you look in the mirror and think, "Damn, I look GOOD!" Done. Achievement unlocked.
California weather is a lot of fun. Around this time of year, it can be anywhere between 60-80 degrees. There is usually an overcast layer that lingers until about Noon-1pm and then the sun comes out. The location is right on the water so it's slightly cooler than if we were more inland. It will likely be cooler during the ceremony and warm up at the start of the reception going into late afternoon/evening so think layers. {Like ogres...or parfaits - everybody loves parfaits}
We know we haven't met many of our friends' offspring and while our wedding would be an excellent opportunity to do so, this is an adults only event (with the exception of our adorable flower girl and ring bear.) Think of it as some much needed adult time!
We love to travel and many of you are traveling a great distance to be with us on our special day. We would love to have a unique piece of you with us as our guest book so we ask for you to write a special note to us on the post card and leave it in the designated box. We will have other postcards there as well for those who may want to provide more than one pearl of wisdom and also for those who forget or misplace their cards en route. Thank you so much!
