Justin and Kristen have known each other since kindergarten, as they traveled through the Pennridge school district together. They both went to Guth Elementary, South Junior High, and they both graduated in 2003 from Pennridge High School. They traveled in different circles through school and they went on their own paths to college following graduation. A dating app is responsible for connecting them many years later in 2014 and they went on their first unofficial date at The Perk. They saw each other here and there and it wasn't until another dating app convinced Kristen to finally go on their first official date in February of 2015. This particular app indicated that Kristen and Justin had a 98% compatibility so, after months of Justin trying unsuccessfully to take her out on a date, Kristen contacted him this time and they went on their first official date on February 13. 2015. He took her to Melt for appetizers and drinks, then onto a movie, and then back to Melt for dinner. The night didn't end there, however, as they stopped at J.T. Bankers for another couple drinks before Justin dropped her off. Dating very quickly turned to love and conversations of a life together. They lived together for the first time starting in January 2016 and purchased their first house together in May of that year.
Justin took Kristen back to where it all begin, with a dinner and a movie at the Promenade, or so Kristen thought. The evening started out at Melt, where they had their very first date. Justin had the whole restaurant involved and slipped the well-thoughtout proposal into the menu. Traditionally, Kristen doesn't even bother to look at the menu to order drinks, except for this night. Kristen opened the menu right to the proposal, before Justin even had a chance to sit down. While Kristen started reading the proposal, Justin quickly fumbled for the ring and promptly got down on one knee. This all took Kristen by surprise, but she quickly figured out what was happening and of course, she said YES. Justin had both families showing up for desert later in the evening to celebrate, so to let both families know everything was still moving forward as planned, he sent a text that she said YES. Justin's father interpreted this as an "all clear" to show up for desert, so between the waiter being nonexistent and Justin's father showing up early, Justin and Kristen didn't even have time for a drink, let alone dinner. Justin was able to improvise and it turned-out that everyone was still hungry, so we got a new table. Justin and Kristen's family spent the evening enjoying a wonderful meal together. Nothing went as planned for Justin, but overall, it turned out to be an even better evening than originally planned.
