What if we already know we can't make it?

If you are unable to attend, we would really love to know in advance, please email us at thehirtfam@gmail.com to submit an early "No" RSVP. We really appreciate the early heads up, for planning purposes. You will be missed!

What is the dress code?

Formal - black tie optional: floor length gowns or fancy cocktail dresses for women and tuxedos or suits for men

Are there things to do between the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Answer

We are having an approximately 2hr gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour. For our guests we have a few ideas below on how to spend the time: Leisurely walk around Lincoln Park: Our ceremony and reception are about a 15 min walk apart. Guests may choose to walk around the scenic Lincoln Park and take photos around the park. Guests could even visit Lincoln Park Zoo! Caffeinate for an evening of fun: For those looking for a pre-reception coffee, Lincoln Park has many fun cafes. Cafe Deko is a 15 min walk from the church and is a beautiful art-deco style cafe (Kristen's brother used to live nearby and both him and Kristen's parents speak highly of the cafe). Colectivo Lincoln Park is a 10min walk from the church and has a nice outdoor seating area (this cafe is home to one of Josh's favorite matcha lattes in the city). Ludlow Charlingtons Coffee Shop is a 9min walk from the church (a unique cafe with dog paintings on the walls). Soloway Coffee is only a 2 min walk from the church (this cafe always has a huge line on the weekends and Josh and Kristen have been before and liked it)
