Since 1859 the "Great Minnesota Get-Together" has been one of the most popular tourist destinations in the state (expect crowds). Great for foodies! The Burnsville Transit Station (not far from the hotel) is an official Park & Ride for the MN State Fair Express Bus.
Explore Lake Pepin in Minnesota and Wisconsin
Don't miss the drive around Lake Pepin! Take 61 south out of Red Wing and then cross the river at Wabasha. Head back up Hwy 35 for breathtaking views. "Minnesota's South Shore" is one of our FAVORITE day trips!
Walk the historic Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis
One of the most iconic landmarks in Minneapolis, the Stone Arch Bridge is a former railroad bridge that crosses the Mississippi River, with breathtaking views of the skyline and St. Anthony Falls. The bridge is for pedestrians and bicyclists only, which makes for a very pleasant stroll!
