Our story begins 10 years ago when I, Kristen, found myself living in a small beach town in New Zealand trying to live my lifelong dream of being a surfer. One day while watching the surf, Jamie came up to me and offered to show me a better spot to surf. This began our friendship based in the ocean. Fast forward to meeting again after years spent in different countries, perusing different goals. We road-tripped through a month of NZ summer and knew then that the connection we’d always had as friends was more special than we could have ever dreamed.

Being an international couple with our families split on both sides of the world, we wanted a ceremony that was special and unique to us without the worry of people needing to travel and the potential of important family members not being able to make it. This is why we decided to elope in the mountains of New Zealand, bringing together my origins in the mountains of Colorado to Jamie’s (and more recently my) NZ. We're so excited to come together after our elopement with friends and family in New Zealand and in Colorado to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! Lots of love, Kristen and Jamie
