Where is the "Terrace Venue" at Rancho Guejito Vineyard?

Follow signs at the venue to the "Terrace Venue," which is located on the back of the property. Please scan the QR code above for a map of the property.

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes both the Sikh Society of San Diego and the Rancho Guejito Vineyards have guest parking if you plan to drive.

Is it offensive to wear Indian clothing if I’m not Sikh?

Answer

Not at all! Wearing Indian attire is warmly welcomed and appreciated. It’s a beautiful way to honor the culture and celebrate with us. You do not need to be Sikh to wear Indian clothing. If you choose to do so, we simply ask that outfits are modest and respectful, especially during the ceremony. Western semi- formal attire is also perfectly appropriate

Should I avoid wearing certain colors?

Answer

For the Sikh ceremony please avoid all white and black. White and black are specifically worn for funerals or mourning. The bride will be wearing red. For the western ceremony please avoid white and the bridesmaids will be wearing taupe.

Where can I get Indian clothing?

You can find Indian wedding attire online through websites like: AndaazFashion.com Mayasdesiboutique.com www.mirraw.com Etsy.com For guests in California, Artesia is a great place to shop in person. It's many boutiques offer beautiful options that are perfect for the ceremony.

Is alcohol allowed at the Sikh Ceremony?

Answer

Alcohol, tobacco, and meat are not permitted at the Gurdwara. At the reception, however, there will be a full bar.

Will children be allowed?

Answer

Our wedding weekend will be an adults only celebration, with the special exception of our flower girls.

Are there any other hotels nearby?

Answer

If you choose not to stay at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, there are many other options for hotels in the area. Close by are the Hilton Garden Inn San Diego/Rancho Bernardo and the Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Rancho Bernardo. But if you're looking for something closer to the ocean, there is the Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

September in San Diego is usually warm and sunny, with daytime highs in the mid-70s to 80s and cooler evenings. The American ceremony and reception will take place in the evening, and will be outdoors so please bring a light jacket for when the sun goes down.
