Our Proposal

4.26.25

Our Story On April 26, 2025, what I thought would be a simple day of lunch and shopping turned into the best day of our lives. The morning started early with beautiful weather as we spent the day strolling through the outlets, enjoying each other’s company. Before heading to lunch, Frank suggested we stop at Belmar Beach the place where we had our very first date back in June 2020. It felt like a sweet, nostalgic visit… or so I thought. As soon as we arrived, the skies opened up and it started pouring. Most people would have left, but Frank insisted we stay. We sat in the car for almost an hour waiting for the rain to pass, and I couldn’t understand why he was so determined to wait. Eventually, the downpour eased into a light drizzle. Even though I was getting completely soaked, we decided to take a walk along the beach. As we walked, we talked about our future together. At one point, Frank stopped walking, but I kept going, thinking he was just tying his shoe. Then I heard him call my name. I turned around, and there he was down on one knee. In that moment, time stood still. Completely surprised, I couldn’t stop shaking with excitement as he asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes! The ring was absolutely beautiful, but nothing compared to the overwhelming joy of the moment we shared together on the very beach where our story began. Needless to say, we never made it to lunch. Instead, we drove home to the most wonderful surprise. Our parents had planned a celebration with our closest family and friends waiting to welcome us home. We spent the rest of the evening celebrating, laughing, and soaking in every moment with the people we love most. Looking back, we wouldn’t change a single thing not even the rain. It made our proposal even more unforgettable, and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter together as we count down to saying “I do.”
