Is COVID-19 testing required for travel to Belize?

Answer

As of March 1, 2022 fully vaccinated travelers are not required to present proof of a negative COVID test, although proof of vaccination must be presented. If unable to show proof or if unvaccinated, the traveler must present proof of a negative PCR result taken within 72 hours of arrival or a negative Antigen Rapid test taken within 48 hours of arrival. A test can be administered by the Ministry responsible for health at the airport. *COVID-19 test will be administered at the airport for a fee of USD $50 per passenger. *Every child under the age of 12 years shall not be subjected to testing for SARSCoV2 upon entry into Belize through airport, land or sea port.

What's the best way to travel from the Airport in Belize City to the Brahma Blue Belize Resort in San Pedro?

Answer

Upon arrival at Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City, you will need to take a taxi (~25 minutes) to the Belize Water Taxi Boat Dock. The Taxi ride costs $25 per couple and an additional $5/additional person. From the boat dock, you will take the water taxi to San Pedro. The boat ride to San Pedro is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Upon arrival in San Pedro, take a quick taxi to the Brahma Blue and Coconut Cage Water Taxi where you will board a final 5 minute boat ride to the Brahma Blue Belize Resort.

Question

Will I need to obtain a COVID test prior to departing Belize to return to the U.S.?

Answer

Yes, a negative COVID test is required to return to the U.S. The test must be administered no more than 1 calendar day before your scheduled departure. Note that we will have on-site COVID testing arranged at the Brahma Blue Resort for Friday 4/22 and Saturday 4/23. If you are departing Belize on a day other than 4/23 or 4/24 and would like to arrange an additional testing day. Please let the bride, groom or resort concierge know.
