How They Met

"Send her a drink"

As you all know, Kristen has been with Landmark Glassboro for quite some time. Besides working at Cento, Dave, for a few years, worked at Landmark CityLine. Landmark would have fate in their meeting not once but twice. They first met at a Landmark event in Philly summer 2015, where all the locations were treated with tickets to a festival and the company was given a VIP area. Knowing the same people, Kristen and Dave were introduced by Keith. Sparks did not fly as of yet due to bad timing, however, they did meet again. Fast forward, Christmas 2016. Eve eve, Dave was hanging out with friends John Hill and Turner on the patio for happy hour. Kristen, just finishing her Christmas shopping, met up with friends Jackie and Lauren who just got off work. While having a cocktail, Kristen's friend Monica, who was bartending, told her that a guy across the bar wanted to send her over a drink. At the time, Kristen was a manager and had a few comp drinks to which Dave didn't mind and still sent over a drink. And of course, Kristen recognizing who it was, went over to thank him and they chatted for a little bit. She returned to her friends and later he came over to where she was for a little before going to meet other friends at another bar. Numbers were exchanged, and so their story began.

The Proposal

Let's See Your Dad For Father's Day! - 6/15/19

Kristen's family has a tradition, for the past few years, to gather at their bungalow in Villas for Father's Day. Little did she know, this would be a weekend that she would never forget. Easter prior, while she was taking a nap since she worked the night before, Dave asked for Kristen's hand and told them the plan. When Kristen first discussed the weekend, her sisters were "unavailable". Dave said that they still go since she was off (thanks to a little help from her boss). Days prior, her sisters' plans freed up and they would all be together. On Saturday, the family decided to go to Cape May brewery (with her cousin stopping through) for the day. Instead of the normal grilling, they decided to go out to nice dinner in Cape May. Jessica & Mike drove Kristen & Dave in one car, while her parents and Lesley decorated their home and followed in another. A little late to dinner, Kristen was still clueless, even though Dave could barely eat at dinner. Since the sun was starting to set (her family's favorite time of day) when they finished, they "decided" to walk the beach towards the lighthouse. With the help of her siblings, she was distracted with selfies and laughter as they walked along the beach on one of the windiest days. Since the sun was setting behind the clouds, Dave told her dad that it was time and her dad whistled to start heading back but not before taking a few pictures. Her parents went first, then Jess & Mike. As they were taking their picture, Dave started to step back and began proposing. Kristen, in shock, took a step back not realizing what was going on. Handing her a ring pop, followed by getting down on one knee with the ring, "...I want to be KA bae forever, will you marry me?" Kristen, of course, said and shook her head "YES" with tears streaming down her face. There were more pictures taken on the beach, a few with a sign made by Lesley, and lots of smiles. When they got back home, there was bubbly popped and the celebration began!
