Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that all guests arrive at Artifact Events by 5:15pm - the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. Address included below for reference. Artifact Events South Entrance 4325 N Ravenswood Ave Chicago, IL 60613

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will be shuttle buses providing roundtrip services for guests with stops at the venue (Artifact Events), Swisshotel Chicago and W Chicago Lakeshore. Schedule for the shuttle is posted on the 'Travel' tab of this website. Additionally both the Metra and 'L' trains have stops within walking distance of our venue. Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We'd love to see you in your best semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think suits or dress shirt & slacks for men and midi/tea-length/knee-length dresses for women. Please refrain from wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride such as white, cream and ivory.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Ample free street parking is available at the ceremony/reception venue.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors while cocktail hour and reception will be indoors.

Is the reception in a different location than the ceremony?

Answer

No - ceremony and the reception that will immediately follow will both take place at Artifact Events.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We have a registry through Amazon which can be viewed via the 'Registry' tab on this site and we will also be accepting cards at the reception.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP via Zola before August 1st 2024. If you are unable to attend we would appreciate you letting us know at your earliest convenience. Without an RSVP you will not be guaranteed food or a seat at the reception. If you are having trouble submitting your RSVP please send an email to kristenandcalebwashington@gmail.com.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have hotel blocks at the Swissôtel Chicago and W Chicago Lakeshore. Room reservations at our discounted rates can be made via the links on the 'Travel' tab of our wedding website. Chicago has tons of great places to stay so feel free to find lodging at the hotel/Airbnb of your choice.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We can only accommodate the guests listed on your personal RSVP page.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love kids but unfortunately cannot accommodate everyone’s children at the wedding. Please refer to the RSVP page to see if your child is included.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please indicate your allergy on your RSVP page and we will make sure the caterer accommodates.
