Here are some of Kristen and Brandon's favorite things to do both near and far to the area:

For experiencing the Pacific Coast, either walk the Maverick's coast (a world famous Surf location), or heading to the local tide pools where you can walk among the sea urchins and star fish.

Sam's Clam Chowder or Barb's Clam Chowder area both staples of the area.  For Sushi, you can't go wrong with Main Street Sushi in HMB.  Parada 22 is ideal for festive cocktails and taking in the pacific view. 

The town of Half Moon Bay  offers a variety of cute restaurants and shops.  Beyond the usual fare, they do have a couple shops to wine taste at, if you don't have the time to get to Napa.

Big Basin State Park is  a wonderful spot to hike and see massive redwood groves.  1.5 hours south
