The Lord sure works in mysterious ways… even through facebook dating! When Barry and I started to chat online, we quickly discovered we were both single parents to little girls named Abigail Elizabeth - the SAME first and middle name! Out of all the millions of singles in DFW, I still find it amazing that only God could bring us together!! Our first date was at the Fort Worth Stockyards, and after mentally checking off most of the boxes in my extremely long and specific “non-negotiable” list, Barry took me to Billy Bob’s and asked me to dance… in the middle of the day… with no one there. Little did he know that “dances with me” was a box on my list that he checked on our first date, and has made a point to keep checking that box! The Lord has been so good to confirm and reaffirm that this relationship is pleasing to Him! We recognize through our own life experiences that life is short, and taking leaps of faith like these WORK when you have JESUS at the center, and love each other as He has called us to! Thank you for standing beside us in this decision that seems “wild and risky” to the world, BUT WITH GOD comes peace and joy beyond all understanding!
