Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is about a hour and thirty minute drive from Rochester. If you want to make a trip to see the falls, it is recommended to visit the Canadian side- there's more to do over there! If you want to see Niagara Falls on the Canadian side, make sure to bring your passport for border crossing. *If you are crossing the border with a rental car, be sure to notify the rental car company to acquire the appropriate paperwork needed for border crossing!*
Wine Country
The Finger Lakes have beautiful wineries and vineyards. It will take about an hour to a hour and a 45 minutes to get to the Finger Lakes depending on which you choose to visit. The largest amount of wineries are in the Seneca Lake region. The Finger Lakes has a wide variety of wines ranging from Riesling, Chardonnay, Pino Noir, and Cabernet. Some popular Seneca Lake wineries are Atwater Vineyards, Barnstormer Winery and Bloomer Creek Vineyard.
