We met at a restaurant, where Anthony was the Chef and I was working part time as a waitress. The kitchen was an open kitchen, so all of the staff had constant communication and access to each other. The first time I saw Anthony, I knew he would play an important role in my life. It was a gut feeling, but I didn't know how important of a person he would be. Anthony wasn't like any other guy. Normally guys try right away to get my attention or get my phone number. Anthony was not phased by me; well, that's what his demeanor said. One day, I walked into work and there Anthony was, joking with his friends, until he saw me. He said, "I could never be mad at you. You're always smiling and just seem so nice." Well, he still didn't try to get my number. He was the reason I looked forward to coming to work every weekend. Fast Forward to a month or two later, Anthony shared with me that he was going to work somewhere new and that it was his last day. I waited so long for him to make the first move, that Ijust had to take matters into my own hands. I told him to put his number in my phone before we left for the day. I text him so he could have mine. After a short while, I text him FIRST because he was still stalling. Yes, I slid in the DMs. According to him, he had no idea I was crushing on him and he found me attractive as well. From that point on we spoke on the phone often, had facetime dates for hours and eventually went on our first date. We've been stuck to the hip ever since.
