Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Kristen Kokjohn and Alexander Nichols
Door County holds such a special place in ours hearts and we can't wait to share a slice of it with you! Lovingly referred to as the "Cape Cod of the Midwest", Door County is home to quaint lakeside towns nestled on 300 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. Door County is well-known for cherries! Don't miss out on trying some cherry pie. Looking for Starbucks or McDonald's? I recommend trying one of the local coffee shops or delis. You will be hard pressed to find any fast food or chain restaurants north of Sturgeon Bay in Door County. This is one way that Door County works to maintain its charm!
Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik

Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik

10698 North Bay Shore Drive, Sister Bay, WI 54234

We can't visit Door County without stopping by for some Swedish Pancakes and to see the goats on the roof!

Wilson's Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor

Wilson's Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor

9990 Water Street South, Ephraim, WI 54211

The BEST ice cream! A "Can't Miss" Door County classic.

Eagle Tower

Eagle Tower

Shore Road, Fish Creek, WI 54212

We love climbing this tower for the amazing views! There is also a great 2 mile hike called the Eagle Trail near the tower. It is considered a moderately difficulty hike, so wear sturdy shoes, but the views of Eagle Harbor, Horseshoe Island and the bluff are worth it!!

The Ridges Sanctuary

The Ridges Sanctuary

8166 Wisconsin 57, Baileys Harbor, WI 54202

The Ridges Sanctuary offers easy dirt paths and board walks through the pretty Door County forests. While you're here, take some time to explore Bailey's Harbor! Alex and I love walking around the marina to look at the boats.

Cave Point County Park

Cave Point County Park

5360 Schauer Road, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235

Hike along the shoreline and watch the waves smash into the rock walls! On a clear day, the water is turquoise like the Caribbean. Pro tip: Cave Point is a free county park adjacent to White Fish Dunes State Park that requires a fee to enter. Stick to the signs for Cave Point and you'll experience the same shoreline for free!
