We met on the dating app "Bumble". Kristen bravely kicked off the conversation around our first shared connection, Fleetwood Mac. After a bit of chit chat about how rad Stevie Nicks is, we decided to meet for happy hour at Gusoline Alley, Royal Oak's premier dive bar. There we talked for hours over loud music while we drank cheap drinks. Topics of conversation included Kansas geography, college basketball, and urology related anatomy. We clicked. After this first date we both knew that something special had started.

After a Monday dinner at home we decided to get some ice cream and walk to Jim's Frostie Treats. On the way back we stopped at a bench at Mark's Park. In as smooth of a way as he knows how, Nate knelt down and proposed mid ice cream cone bite. We both skipped back home and celebrated our new chapter as an engaged couple.
