We’re Getting Married!!!

Jay and I had discussed getting married before. One night while eating Mexican I made the joke that if he wanted to marry me all he’d have to do is have queso around. Fast forward to my daughter’s 11th birthday party. We had just finished it, my mom, Jay’s daughter Kylee and my friend Jessica were in the living room talking to us. My friend Jessica is pregnant and had recently told me that she has to hide certain food from her kids because they keep finding her snacks and eating them. We’re all talking, and Jessica gets her purse, looks around and pulls queso out. I immediately chuckle because I think wow, she has to hide things in her purse so she can enjoy her snack. Meanwhile, Jay is next to me on one knee (well, as much as possible, since he just had his knee replaced a few days prior) but I didn’t notice because she had me so distracted. Then I notice both Kylee and my mom have queso as well. I look to Jay and he has a ring in his hand and said well baby, with friends and family here and mass quantities of queso, will you marry me?! Of course, I said yes. I mean, he is pretty amazing.
