Our first date was at the Iron Hill Brewery in Media, PA. We waited an uncomfortably long time for a table and he claims I "stared at him smiling" for the duration. We became good friends and our relationship status became official with a trip to Mexico in 2018.
After celebrating all day with friends, we walked back to my apartment, ordered a pizza, and picnicked on the floor. We sat on the balcony talking late into the night. In the year following we went to 10 weddings, visited 6 new countries, welcomed a niece and a nephew, and introduced our cats.
We were camping in Black Moshannon State Park for the Penn State white out game against Michigan. Sunday morning we went for a walk around the lake and stopped to take some pictures. He asked if I wanted chips and when he got the snacks out of his backpack, he also revealed a hand-crafted music box. He got down on one knee and proposed with "All I Ask of You" in the background.
In light of COVID-19, we made the difficult decision to get married in a small ceremony with just our immediate families. All of our friends and family were on our minds and in our hearts as we tied the knot in November. The day was beautiful and the intimate ceremony was perfect. We were so excited to finally introduce our grandparents, siblings, niece, and nephews.
