We're getting married!

Kristeen and Rafael met during their freshman year of high school. Rafael noticed Kristeen on the first day of school and wished he could sit next to her. Kristeen first noticed Rafael when he volunteered to be the "Renaissance Man" in history class. She thought he was so cute that she decided to follow him on Instagram. Looking for ways to talk to him, she would ask him for a piece of gum every time she saw him and even started watching anime to have an excuse to start a conversation. Knowing that Kristeen was following him on Instagram, Rafael posted a quote that read, "A girl should be like a butterfly, beautiful to see but hard to catch." Kristeen wasn’t sure if he was trying to tell her something, but soon after, he sent her a direct message with his number, and they began texting. The rest, as they say, is history. Rafael asked Kristeen out in June 2015, and they have been together ever since—almost ten years of knowing and loving the most beautiful person inside and out. In August 2023, Rafael proposed on the Brooklyn Bridge, and now they are beyond excited to celebrate their union with family and friends. They are deeply grateful to God for bringing them together and give all the glory to Jesus.
