Terry Fox National Historic Monument

A 9-foot bronze statue of Terry Fox stands on a granite base overlooking Lake Superior and the Sleeping Giant, near the spot where he ended his Marathon of Hope after 5,342 km. The monument honours his courageous cross-country run for cancer research.

Centennial Botanical Conservatory

The Centennial Botanical Conservatory is a year-round indoor garden filled with tropical plants, flowers, trees, and cacti. Opened in 1967 as a Centennial project, it’s a peaceful spot to walk through and enjoy nature right in the city.

Boulevard Lake Loop in Thunder Bay is a paved 5.3 km trail circling Boulevard Lake, set within a 650-acre park featuring beaches, disc golf, rentals, playgrounds, and picnic areas. The loop offers scenic bluff views in the north and crosses the Port Arthur Spillway dam in the south.
