Krista and Brendan first met when they attended the same high school Archbishop John Carroll together. They did not know it at the time, but their future soulmates were right across the hall. Well, Krista may have known as she liked Brendan, but of course, he was oblivious. After high school, they went their separate ways, with Krista going as far as New Orleans and then Atlanta for graduate school. Flash forward to 2022, both Krista and Brendan reconnected when they were seated at the same wedding table. As the lone single pair at the table, it was only natural that they sit next to each other and spark up a conversation. This led to a dance and eventually to a first official date a few weeks later. Their second date was when Brendan realized a future for the two could be possible. Krista decided that the two should go to a Giants-Eagles football game as Brendan is a New York Sports fan and she likes her hometown Philadelphia teams. However, the game was at the Giants stadium on a cold, rainy December day two hours away in North New Jersey. Her friends thought she was crazy for spending twelve hours together with a guy she had just started dating, but it turned out to be the best decision. The day went so well, the two were already planning their third date on the car ride home. The only downside to the day was that the Eagles won.

After almost two years of dating, including a great trip to Portugal for Krista’s 30th birthday, they were both ready for the next step in their relationship. The two made plans to go to happy hour at a restaurant within walking distance from their house. On the way, Brendan nervously made a detour to walk along the Schuylkill River trail to where his siblings were waiting with a camera. Once in the right spot, he got down on one knee and asked Krista to marry him. Luckily, she said Yes! and they continued their journey to the restaurant to celebrate with family. The next step in their love story is to meet at the altar and say I do!
