Please call Imad or Jessica at ID90 Travel to book your cruise. You can also book on their website, but they are very helpful and can answer all your questions. 817-767-0300 option 9 for Imad, option 4 for Jessica or dial 0. Imad/Jessica will get commission if you’re able to book through them. Let them know you are with the Braun/Lyon party (reservation J0VP86) so our reservations will be linked. Ask for the early dining option at 6:00 for our group dinners.

We paid $916.42 total for an interior room (category 4A). Our price was cheaper than the website, another reason to call. You might find a similar price on other websites, but ID90 offers a refundable deposit, adjusts the price if it drops and our group reservations will be linked. It’s not a problem if you want to use another website, just call Carnival to link your reservation to our group. A refundable deposit of $300 per cabin is required within 2 days of booking and final payment is due by Aug. 19.
Call Imad or Jessica and they will match the lower price.
Port Canaveral (Orlando)
Price check on websites like Expedia or Priceline. Also check the Southwest website as that is the only website our tickets are available on. Ticket prices for November just dropped and are very affordable.
That is totally up to you, but if you fly in the day of, make sure you have enough time to get to the port before the ship departs at 3:30 p.m. We are flying in the night before and staying at The Ramada by Wyndham Suites Orlando Airport. Please see the Travel page for more info.

Our good friend Treisha (aka Trish aka Trish Quale aka TQ) cruises a lot and has done a few Carnival cruises. She said they used to only get balcony rooms, but decided to try an interior cabin and will book that type from now on. They like it because they are hardly ever in their room and it's dark and quiet for sleeping. Her advice is to either get an interior or balcony cabin, but not the ocean view. Our advice on this ship is to get a room with a picture window rather than a porthole if you decide to go with an ocean view. An article I found online regarding which room to choose: https://www.businessinsider.com/why-rooms-windows-balconies-not-worth-it-frequent-cruiser-2024 We took the advice above and reserved an interior room. We are on Deck 1 (Riviera Deck) room 1235 which is a category 4A room. The two twin beds turn into one king. On Carnival the different room categories are referring to the location on the ship.
Information I found about each deck when choosing your room: …the fact that some decks pack in multiple dining, drinking and entertainment options means that staterooms located directly below or above are subject to noise. In particular, light sleepers may find that most cabins to avoid on Carnival Freedom are located on decks 2 (Main), 6 (Upper) and 8 (Verandah). Regarding the best deck on Carnival Freedom, it largely depends on personal preference: while the Riviera Deck (deck 1) is a good pick for light sleepers who suffer from seasickness - especially towards the middle or the aft of the ship - The Verandah and Lido decks (8 and 9, respectively) may be a better option for those who want to be in the heart of the action. When looking at room options on ID90, click on deck plans.

Cruises are different than all-inclusive resorts and alcohol is not included. If you plan on drinking a good amount, you will want to purchase a drink package. This allows you to drink up to 15 alcoholic beverages a day. It is not required to buy a drink package, but if one person in the cabin buys one, the other has to as well. Purchase your drink package on carnival’s website up to 11:59 EST the day before the cruise for a discounted rate. The drink package service charge covers all tips so you won’t have to tip your bartender or waiter for your drinks. Below is an article breaking down the cheers drink package and Carnival’s drink policies: https://cruise.blog/2022/04/carnival-drink-package-guide-and-tips
For this cruise you do not need a passport. If you don’t have one they require a valid government ID and original birth certificate with a raised stamp (no copies). After you book your cruise, you will get a general email from Carnival stating a passport is required, but that is not the case for this cruise as it is a closed-loop cruise to the Bahamas.
It’s much less likely you will get sea sick on a cruise ship because of its size. My sister in particular gets very sea sick on small boats, but cruise ships don’t bother her. If you’re concerned it is recommended to take non-drowsy dramamine every day beginning 5 days prior to the cruise.
Historically rain slows down that time of year. Hopefully no rain with average temperatures in the 80’s.
We will be thrilled if any of our guests decide to join us at the last minute. Please let us know if you are coming before October 28. If you are definitely not coming we would appreciate you letting us know as soon as possible.
Aug 19. If you purchased insurance you can get a full refund with a valid reason.
Once you have paid for your cruise, you can check in. When you do, I suggest choosing the earliest arrival time available to maximize your first day and avoid lines.
