Over-The-Rhine
Over-the-Rhine (OTR) is our favorite neighborhood in Cincinnati! If you have some extra time during your visit we think you'll enjoy wandering around Washington Park, taking a tour of Music Hall, or walking along Vine Street to enjoy some local food and shopping. Some of our favorite restaurants are in this area of town, including The Eagle (friend chicken), Pepp & Dolores (Italian), Brown Bear Bakery (pastries), Forty Thieves (Middle Eastern), Bakersfield (tacos), Senate (gourmet hotdogs), Taste of Belgium (Belgian), Taft's (brewpub), and Abigail Street (tapas).
Riverside Walk
Cincinnati is full of beautiful outdoor spaces. If you'd like to spend some time outside while you're here we recommend walking along the Ohio River in one of Cincinnati's many riverside parks. Smale Riverfront Park and Sawyer Point Park are two of our favorites on the Cincinnati side. If you're staying on the Kentucky side, take a walk along the levee or head across the Ohio River using the pedestrian-only "Purple People Bridge."
Findlay Market
Saturdays are a great day to check out this open-air market located in OTR. There's a ton of stuff to see, do, and eat! Our favorite stops at the market are Blue Oven Bakery (bread and pastries), Pho Lang Tang (Vietnamese), Deeper Roots (coffee), Maverick Chocolate Co. (artisan chocolate), and Eli's (barbecue).
Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden
Cincinnati has a fantastic zoo. Stop by and say hi to Fiona, the world-famous hippo.
Rhinegeist Brewery
Cincinnati has a ton of excellent local breweries you can check out. Our favorite is Rhinegeist. Be sure to visit their rooftop patio for great views of the city!
Newport Aquarium
The Newport Aquarium is very close to our wedding venue and a great place to visit with kids.
Graeter's Ice Cream
If you get a chance, make sure to try Cincinnati's own Graeter's Ice Cream. Graeter's has been making French Pot ice cream since 1870 and has many locations across Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Cincinnati Art Museum
The Cincinnati Art Museum is located in beautiful Eden Park and features a large collection of works from both local and internationally-renowned artists. Entrance to the art museum is free.
Buffalo Trace Distillery
If you've got time for a longer trip, head 90 minutes south of Cincinnati to visit one of Kentucky's many bourbon distilleries. Take a tour of the distillery, enjoy a bourbon tasting, and admire the scenery along the drive! Buffalo Trace is one of our favorites.
American Sign Museum
The American Sign Museum houses the largest collection of neon signs in the country. It's an incredibly unique museum and is one of our favorite places to take out-of-town guests.
