We're Getting Married!!

Roger, his parents, and I have taken a trip to Chincoteague, VA for the last two summers. Last year, was the best yet. When we got all of our bags taken into the hotel, we decided we were going to go see the beach. Roger changed, and I still had my leggings and crocs on. Roger than said "why don't you change into something cooler?" So I changed my clothes, not even thinking about it. Roger's dad and I went outside to check out the pool. (so Roger and his mom could get the ring out.) We then made our way to the beach, little did I know I would walk on the beach as a girlfriend, and leave as a fiancée. We walked about 1/4 of a mile down the beach. Honestly, I was just tired and I'm not a fan of the sand so I was pretty aggravated. The next thing I know is that Roger gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him. I was absolutely speechless. I said yes, and his family gave us both hugs, and Roger and I left the beach as an engaged couple.

Krista Golden is the daughter of Chris Golden and Tracy Golden.

Roger Shoemaker is the son of Steven and Kendra Shoemaker.
