It's funny how things happen, especially when you realize it's for a reason. The night that we met, April 1st, 2022, Nathan was supposed to be setup with another woman and Krista was planning on going to a different place then she ended up at that night. The woman never showed up and Krista and her friends received a call that led them to Nathan at the Bluegrass Lounge in Olde Town Arvada. Krista caught Nathan's eye almost instantly as she walked in. Krista was enjoying the evening with her friends and didn't even notice anyone around her until Nathan's friend, Brooke, approached them and asked if Krista would talk to Nathan because he thought she was stunning. Krista asked to see his dog, Ares, because she was too nervous to ask him to talk so she used his dog to start the conversation and the rest of the night they enjoyed talking and laughing. After that conversation, Krista was convinced that Nathan would not have any interest and she wasn't looking at that time so she thought that was it. However, Nathan's generosity came through quickly as he sent her a venmo to buy coffee the next morning for her son, Maverick's, soccer game. After texting all day, we decided to meet up the next day at Costco to grocery shop together and enjoy each other's company and then continue the wonderful conversation over coffee in Olde Town Arvada. It was apparent very quickly how similar we are and the connection was undeniable. Even with our age difference, we felt very strongly that we enjoyed being around each other and could be good friends if not more. However, Krista was nervous because she really liked Nathan but was concerned her life at that moment would not be fair to him. Nathan didn't hesitate once. He saw in Krista a beautiful woman not only externally but internally as well. Her kindness, generosity, loyalty, and loving nature was so apparent that Nathan could not help but to fall in love with her. For Krista, she learned very quickly how special Nathan is. His patience, reassurance, consistency, kindness and positive spirit helped her in her hardest time which has helped lead her spirit to heal and fall deeper in love with Nathan. We spent time getting to know each other and after a short time, we knew this was special. Krista's kids also love Nathan and Nathan is wonderful with them. They were immediately smitten with him like Krista was. He treats them with respect, patience, guidance and is FUN! They are so excited to have Nathan as their step-dad. We worked through many difficult things together that only made us stronger and we both feel very lucky to have found each other. God knew we needed each other and led us together and to this special day.
