We're so excited to FINALLY celebrate with you!

After many years of living the single life, Krista and Erik matched on Bumble April 28, 2017. As luck would have it the conversation flowed and led to their first date on May 10 at Atlas—a dive bar in Jersey City. The evening didn't run as smoothly as their text conversations. Erik hadn't mentioned that he was a very passionate Boston fan—no minor detail as the Celtics happened to be playing in the semifinals against Washington Wizards that night. After one drink, the bartender asked if they would like another, Erik responded, "I think we are good, thanks." Krista looked him straight in the eye and said, "Are you in a rush or something?" he said he wasn't, and they both ordered another drink. After more conversation, they decided to finish up and part ways. Erik was leaving for Florida for his birthday weekend and asked if they could see one another when he returned. Krista agreed. She had no expectations but was happy to receive a picture of Erik hanging out by the pool on his vacation. A week later they had their second date at Grand Vin in Hoboken. Let's just say this date was very different. Sparks flew, and they closed down the bar (during another Celtics finals game against the Cleveland Cavaliers).

Krista and Erik were enjoying a beautiful winter day in New York City enjoying the holiday festivities. After strolling along the Winter Village in Bryant Park, Erik led Krista to the Christmas tree for pictures. Before taking any, he took her by the hands and expressed how amazing the past year and a half has been followed by getting down on bended knee asking her to marry him. Krista cried in shock and said, YES! They were greeted by her parents and surprised by Erik's during a celebratory dinner at Tutta Pesca in Hoboken. The party then continued throughout the night to Union Hall where all their friends met them.
