On a warm summer day, Krista and her cousin Amanda Brenner (meme) went to the Lawrence County Fair. Later that night Amanda was having a bonfire with some friends and Krista stayed but did not know many of the people who were there. There was a tall, handsome, and quiet guy sitting by the bonfire, so Krista went and sat by him. They began making small talk and Krista instantly felt butterflies. The fire burned out and eventually Deno left. Krista began frantically looking for his Facebook, and boom she found it! She very smoothly slid into his DM's (direct messages). They set up a movie date for the next day, and were inseparable ever since - and exactly 5 years later they will tie the knot!

During a weekend trip visiting Deno's cousin Lisa in New Jersey, we went to New York City to do some sight seeing as a family. Krista, Deno, and Baylee traveled all around the city seeing Central Park, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, and accidentally stumbling into Times Square. After several missed opportunities to proposal throughout the city, we headed back to New Jersey frozen and overwhelmed by the huge crowds. After returning back to our would be "proposal celebration" at Lisa's, we put Baylee to bed and Deno suggested headed out to Liberty Park to see the NYC skyline. When we arrived it was so dark that when Deno finally proposed, Krista had to use her phone light to check out the bling bling! Finally after missed opportunities all day, we were finally engaged! We celebrated by getting some delicious food at White Castle and then came back to Lisa's and celebrated with out family - what a great trip!
