Krista and Taylor met during grad school at Western Washington University. They first met during a get together for both math cohorts before classes started. They got to know each other through fun weekend nights in Downtown Bellingham, struggling through difficult courses, and dinner/movie/hiking dates.

After Krista graduated she moved to Seattle to join Taylor. Shortly after, they took the next step in their relationship and adopted a rescue pup from Texas named Ginger.

Krista got a new job and wanted to get a quick trip in before starting her new position. Taylor and Krista quickly made plans to go to Hawaii. On the first evening, they took a sunset walk on the beach. While looking out into the ocean Taylor proposed and Krista very happily accepted.
