Our story began just as many do, with an awkward crush. Both working in the same store, we would occasionally cross each others paths. After the first time, however, it was almost never an accident. From the moment Erik first saw Krista, he made it a point to plan his aimless wandering throughout the store around where he thought she might be. Unbeknownst to him, Krista would do the same. This began the endless months of exchanging shy looks in passing and never actually saying a word to each other. Would you believe that when we first crossed paths, Krista joked with a co-worker "I'm gonna marry that guy"? It's as if we knew the whole time what life had in store for us. Some time, a few flirty messages, and a little bit of Facebook stalking later, we finally made our way to each other. Fast forward to Christmas, 2018. Erik has had a giant, poorly-wrapped box with Krista's name on it next to the tree, taunting her for weeks. Finally getting the chance to tear into it, she finds nothing but a massive amount of tissue paper, covering a small note taped to the bottom of the box. The end of the note read "Close your eyes." After reluctantly doing so, Krista opened her eyes to a diamond ring in the hands of a pajama-clad Erik.
