Ben and I met our senior year at the University of Pittsburgh. My roommate, Sarah (Matron of Honor) kept saying I had to meet Big Ben! I may have been disappointed that he didn’t bring Big Ben’s soda when I finally met him! Anyway, we hit it off at Peter’s Pub on country night and he started coming to every country night. However, I did not know that he hated country music! Now, he loves when I fall asleep in the car so he doesn’t have to listen to country music! I was starting to like Ben and then he disappeared! Little did I know it was hunting season, nor how long it would last. I should have taken a hint! But he turned up about three months later when he was assigned as the student athletic trainer for the Women’s Gymnastics Team. At that point I was no longer interested in him due to his disappearing act. I was even injured as a gymnast and I still refused to go into the athletic training room because I was nervous to see him. Slowly his friendliness with my teammates made me a little jealous, so when he finally asked me to go out for dinner at Fuel and Fuddle I said, “yes!” I did not want to date Ben at first because I wanted to follow the rules. Since he was a student athletic trainer for my gymnastics team we were not allowed to date due to it being unprofessional. However, I shortly learned that Ben is one who does not follow the rules. And hence we started dating after a weekend trip to Vermont. When we got back to from the trip, I remember he texted me to clarify that we truly were dating! After graduation, we continued a long distance relationship as I went to Temple University for physical therapy school and Ben worked at Phoenix Physical Therapy. Three years later I started working in NJ as a physical therapist and Ben entered the academy to become a State Game Warden. Once Ben graduated, we moved in together in Montrose, PA, where he was first assigned. Ben brought the city girl to the country and I could not love it more!
