Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is dressy casual - think day dresses, slacks, and button down shirts. Please refrain from wearing jeans and a t-shirt. If you'd like to go along with our wedding colors, pick something that showcases some of those beautiful autumn colors!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will take place at Chickadee Hill Farms in Statesville, NC! Our ceremony will take place in a beautiful wooded section of the property with benches and a gravel pathway (weather permitting). If the weather takes a turn for the worse, we will move the ceremony to Chickadee's on-site chapel. Our reception will be in Chickadee's reception barn that has a beautiful patio.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving around 30 minutes before the ceremony to have time to park and get settled in your seat.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There is a lot at our venue with free parking. It is very close to our ceremony site and the reception location.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and beverages. Please note that alcohol is not permitted at our venue without a licensed bartender, something we decided to forego.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We will have light refreshments served during cocktail hour along with non-alcoholic beverages. Dinner will be buffet style and will include menu items such as bbq, chicken, mac and cheese, and (my personal favorite) a biscuit bar!

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag so we can keep track of all of your pictures! We are still deciding on what this hashtag will be, but once we know we will update the website. It will also be posted around the venue.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We can’t wait to begin our married life together and celebrate our bond on our honeymoon! In lieu of gifts, we would appreciate contributions toward our honeymoon fund. The details of our honeymoon fund can be found under the "Registry" tab of this website. If you would like to contribute but prefer to not do so online, we will have a card table at the reception.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible by reaching out to Dominic or Krissey.

Where should I RSVP?

Answer

Since our guest list is small and consists of only family and close friends, we are foregoing a traditional RSVP. Please reach out to us directly by August if you won’t be able to make it.
