Turn onto Idlewild Road (you are about 11 miles from the venue and approximately 30 minutes). Keep straight and shortly after passing Phillips Gap Rd, you will come to a fork in the road where Idlewild Rd keeps straight--you however will vere RIGHT at that fork onto Park Vista Road (you are about 7 miles from the venue and approximately 22 minutes). Keep straight and at the stop sign, you will be at the Blue Ridge Parkway and you should cross over the Blue Ridge Parkway if it is closed (you are about 5.5 miles from the venue and approximately 18 minutes). The road becomes Benge Ashe Rd when you cross the parkway—and will be a 1-lane small gravel patch of road with snake-like, sharp turns in the road for a moment— and then you're back on paved road again. Keep straight and turn RIGHT onto Big Ivy Rd (landmarks are a large brick chimney and a red barn)—please note that Benge Ashe Rd also becomes Big Ivy if you were to keep straight BUT YOU SHOULD NOT KEEP STRAIGHT as that is the wrong direction—YOU MUST TURN RIGHT TO BE ON THIS PART OF BIG IVY. Cross over a narrow bridge and road becomes gravel/dirt again (you are about 3 miles from the venue and approximately 12-15 minutes). You may want to honk your horn as you near turns in the road because you may be unable to see around some turns. Keep straight and at stop sign, turn RIGHT onto Phillips Gap Rd (you are about 2 miles from the venue). Your GPS may shift periodically as you drive and stop working, so print or screenshot these directions in advance. Cell service has been fine when we've driven to the venue each time. Your next turn will be a LEFT onto Cascade Dr. (landmark is 4 mailboxes in a row). Drive past cabins on the left and follow signs to the Banquet Hall where the wedding and reception will take place.
