If you're here for a longer stay, we recommend visiting the DC area, which is about 1-1.5 hours from the wedding venue, for its museums, restaurants, and historic sites. The DC Metro is a clean and safe for getting around. Smithsonian Museums--free museums abound. Some are closed or have time-entry passes required due to COVID restrictions, so reserve before you go! https://www.si.edu/museums Walk the monuments (try walking them at night! They're well-lit and beautiful!)
