Krisie's younger, middle sister of 5 "kiddos"! Five years apart and I don't really remember life before Danielle. We were tied at the hip, my little barbie doll. From playing dress up, swinging in trees, yelling at each other, throwing random objects, or laughing till we cry and sounding like hyenas. My ride-or-die and greatest cheerleader. I'm so grateful we're state neighbors and to have her as my maid of honor!
Gavin Schoppaul

John's eldest brother of 3! Growing up together and being 10 years apart, Gavin was a big brother as well as a mentor. The 3 of us were always in sports and Gavin helped us be the best competitors in everything, especially hockey. By playing with us, he taught us to be amazing skaters, stick handlers, and to master a wicked wrist shot! I truly believe that his guidance from such a young age made me want to strive to be the best I could in everything I pursued and I attribute a lot of my success in life to him.

Krisie's youngest sis, yet not quite the youngest of the fam! Watching her grow up from afar wasn't easy, but 10 years between us couldn't split us. We're so different, yet 1,000% sisters. She has the driest, darkest humor with the softest heart and most contagious laugh. Always there when it matters most and always just a phone call away. Another gypsy soul. I know it's only a matter of time before she joins in the mountain life. So lucky to have 2 sisters who I can call my ride-or-die and maid of honor!

John's older, middle brother of 3! Brian and I are 1.5 years apart. We've walked very similar paths, always attended the same schools, competed on the same sports teams, shared chores and some friends. And we're still close... literally. We currently live a mile apart here in Scottsdale and we both took on a career as pilots. By the time the wedding comes, we will be working for the same airline to boot!

Bestie of 15 years! Allie and I met at an event with our local fire department family in Cape Coral, FL. Been through all the phases of broke-ness, college, career and dating together. Now, we're finally settling into our homes across the country from one another and engaged! Always just a phone call away.

Austin is one of John's closest cousins. They say "cousins are your first best friends" and it's absolutely true. We are a year apart and have spent many holidays and family gatherings together. Despite our frequent travels and relocations, we've always made an effort to stay in touch and our friendship continues. Austin recently left the Arizona summer heat for Denver, CO.

Bestie of 11 years! Amanda was the first person to turn around and introduce herself to me in church when I was a newbie to Santa Monica, CA. Then, she helped me get on my feet 2 years later when I moved to Salt Lake City, UT. Now, she helps me manage my AirBnB property in Arizona. Not sure how we always end up in the same cities, but I don't think I could've done it without her!

Jack is by far the most musically inclined and talented in the family. Jack is Austin's brother, my cousin and friend as well. He's a go-getter and is always working on a new creative project. He currently lives in Los Angeles, which conveniently provides us the opportunity to cross paths and meet up relatively often, as my job is based in California.

Bestie of 7 years! We met at a bar in downtown St. Petersburg, FL. Caroline complemented my heels and I liked her blouse, started chatting and realized we had the same friend group from undergrad years prior, but had never met. Both in healthcare and both amidst grad school. The rest is history, as we continue to watch each other's life blossom!

"Moe" is a brown belt competitor, coach and direct family of my jiu-jitsu gym, BJJ Social Club. Despite our size difference, he was one of my first rolls at the club (which he offered no mercy and killed me several times). Since then, he and I have developed a strong friendship as we have competed several times and train regularly together.

Newest proclaimed bestie! Mel and I met on Bumble BFF the same week I matched with John! I was in my final weeks of competition prep and decided to hop off of the dating search and met Mel the same day. We were both searching for a solid girl friend, who had her career and loved the outdoors. Since then, we've hiked, rock climbed, decorated homes, countless lunch/dinner dates and now, coincidentally, live across the street from each other. You were meant to be in my life woman!

"Rod" has been a good friend for over 10 years. He and I went to college at the University of North Dakota, where we were part of the same fraternity. He and I wrestled many times in college and, funny enough, we both gravitated towards jiu jitsu in our own time. We've always stayed in touch and since then have found ourselves living on opposite ends of the West coast, still connecting every once in a while over an old school video game.

From the start of John's jiu-jitsu training, "Big Mike" has been his rolling partner as well as a mentor through competition prep. They quickly developed a friendship and have since both graduated up the BJJ belt system. Mike is impossible to not get along with, a personal friend, well spoken and a great speaker. It only felt natural to request he marry us. Luckily, without hesitation, he said yes!
