It is the love story of all love stories, a page out of 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani,' our favorite movie of all time. But with one small twist. Our story features not Scholar Naina, but Scholar Rahil, our chashmish—a shy and reserved young man who encountered Krishna while she was in Newport, Jersey City. Our heroine is none other than Bunny—oops, I mean Krishna. A free-spirited adventurer with a zest for life. Their story began one chilly evening at a Thai place, One Dee Siam on Grove St. Our chashmish, captivated by Krishna's infectious energy and radiant smile, found himself drawn to her magnetic presence, though his shyness initially held him back. But Krishna, with her outgoing nature and warm spirit, sensed Rahil's hesitance and took the lead. As they sat across from each other, conversation flowed effortlessly, igniting a spark. Over the weeks that followed, Rahil and Krishna embarked on a series of romantic dates, exploring restaurants to lively bars in New York City. With each passing day, they discovered new facets of each other's personalities and desires to travel the world, forming a deep connection rooted in mutual respect and admiration. After completing his exam, our chashmish, on a whim, invited her on a trip to Mexico. It was spontaneous, adventurous, and in his mind, a test to see if she was the perfect travel partner for life. Krishna, being care-free and spontaneous, took a leap of faith. Little did they know that 4 nights in Mexico turned into the first of many spontaneous trips around the world. From spotting animals in Costa Rica to dancing under the stars in Paris and indulging in pasta, pizza, and Aperol Spritz in Italy, Rahil and Krishna knew they were irrevocably in love, and there was no changing that fact. She became the one thing he was absolutely sure about. He knew they were ready to take the leap into forever. He planned a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, a subtle nod to their first vacation in Mexico. It was there, by the ocean with a spectacular sunset, that he asked her to be his. And just like that… They had found their dal chawal for the next 50 years, until they die.
